Week 2- Day9

Workout- Pure Cardio
Power Walking- 2.32 miles in 32 minutes

After Insanity workout this morning I was able to go a power walk. I put our little man in his stroller and walked 2.32 miles in 32 minutes. I felt so great afterward I got a good sweat out of it.

I made homemade 100% wholewheat thin crust pizza for lunch. Today was my first time having corn in my pizza; I got the idea from Betty Ray and it was so YUMMY.

Week 2- Day8

Workout- Cardio Power and Resistance

Thanks to my hubby for waking me up this morning I almost slept in. I don’t set up my alarm any because I thought my body was getting used to waking up at 5:30 in the morning and I guess not. I’m glad I was able to push play and did Cardio Power and Resistance. This workout has a lot of push-ups; my triceps are on FIYAH. So today was supposed to be weigh-in I’ll have to weigh next week because of Aunt Flo...DIG DEEPER

End of Week 1- Day6

Workout: Plyometrics Cardio Circuit

I survived week 1 of Insanity- ONE down EIGHT to go.

I stopped by my friend’s to pick something; and she asked me if I’m 125 now. I told her I’m at 130. The funny thing is she saw me last week… hmm. I had my size 5 juniors jeans on that are over 3 years old; they’re too big around my waist now. I thought I’m supposed to be bloated since Aunt Flo showed up this morning and I guess not if she thinks that I’m 125. HAHA… OK I'm off to do 30-35 minutes of YogaX; it was one of my weekly goal.

After story time, we went to Panera Bread for lunch; so I got black beans soup with ½ of turkey sandwich on wheat…

Week 1- Day5

Workout- Pure Cardio
Calories Burned- 543

I had a busy morning and got a lot of them. I’m so glad that I pushed play first thing this morning. WOW…Pure Cardio= PURE HELL; I have to agree with that (lol). I had to stop few times to catch my breath and I made it through day5. I’m so closed to complete week1. I can’t wait for tomorrow workout and finish week1 strong… DIG DEEPER!!!

Dinner for tonight was Baked Sweet Potato-to die for (YUMMY) with Salmon (lemon juice with herbs) simply perfect and steamed spinach…

I pushed play first thing this morning so Cardio Recovery is in the book. I enjoyed this workout; it was less intense but I did get some good sweat. I can't wait for tomorrow and I’m ready to DIG DEEPER…

Week 1- Day3

Workout- Cardio Power and Resistance- DONE
Calories Burned- 525

This morning I had a tough time to get out of bed (not because I was sleepy) I was SO sore in my butt and shoulders. With P90X, it was my back. I’m so glad to say that I dogged deep and was able to complete the workout.

I only burned 525 calories with this workout this morning but my heart rate was up to 181. It was only 35 minutes workout. With P90X I used to burn 1000 calories but my heart rate was never able to go that high; it used to be around 160.

Looking forward to tomorrow workout… DIG DEEPER!!!

Lunch: Turkey Burger with Steamed Spinach and Corn on the Cob…

Dinner: Curried Shrimp with Baked Potato (no butter, no sour cream) and Steamed Vegetables…

I got a great workout this morning but it was no joke by the end of the warm-up my heart rate went up to 181. My 20oz glass of water wasn’t enough; I had to get more water after 30minutes workout. Now I know better to take more with me in the garage next time. . I’m looking forward to day3 and ready to DIG DEEPER…

Week 1- Day1

Week 1- Day1
Workout: Fit Test
Starting Weight with Insanity: 130.5
Goal Weight: 125

INSANITY, Here I come. After taking one week off, I’m back to start an INSANE journey. I have to tell you upfront that I’m so nervous about this program I just want to take it one day at a time because I really, really want to complete it.

I read the body gets extremely sore with all the intense workout and some of them recommend the P90X recovery drink. I completed my first round of P90X I never had their recovery drink; I just had my protein drink. I did some research and found this article about “Chocolate Milk: The New Sports Drink”. Well, I got some chocolate milk and had ½ cup this morning after my Fit Test.

Here are my results. Oh, I stopped counting while doing the switch kicks I'm sure I did more than 46…


Here’s my lunch for today: Chicken Salad with spinach, grape tomatoes and strawberries…

I'm ready to DIP DEEP tomorrow...

P90X GRAD!!!

I did it!!! I’m a P90X GRAD!!! I completed my first 90days on Saturday of the Classic program. I lost a total of 14 lbs and still have 6 more lbs to lose. I’m taking this week off and just do some walking and cardio before starting with Insanity on August 23rd.

I’m one of those people who carry all the extra weight in the belly area. I still have fat around my midsection especially my stomach. I hope to get a better result with Insanity in my belly area in the next 60days.

I did Yoga tonight instead of last night. I couldn’t concentrate; I kept on looking at the time and I only did it for 20 minutes. I have enough energy to even do 58-minutes of Plyo or Kenpo, but why not Yoga and I really want to do it…:: sigh::

I pushed play first thing this morning and did Core synergistics. I only do this work out when it’s a recovery week and I have to say that I really enjoy it...

Day 83, 84 & 85

Five more days to go!!! This is my recovery week and also my last week of P90X I’m so excited for sticking with the whole 90-days workout program. I pushed play first thing this morning and did Plyometrics instead of Yoga. I’ll be doing some Yoga tonight for 30minutes…

Day 80 & 81

I have less than 10 days left to be done with P90X and can't wait. This week is my last week and next week will be my recovery week and I'll be done. So this morning was day81 and did back, biceps and ABRX. Yesterday (day80) I brought it with Plyometrics.

My local grocery store (Publix) has Ezekiel breads; they’re in the frozen aisle. So for breakfast I had 1-slice of bread, 3 egg whites with mushrooms and a peach...
